




I grew up during the golden age of rock’n’roll and deeply admired (and fancied) David Gilmour, lead guitarist of Pink Floyd.
His androgynous beauty presented a particular challenge as a sculpture, and I wanted try and convey the enormity of his power and influence, which stemmed from his sensitivity in a time when ideas about masculinity were being reshaped.
